"Warum man lieber Englisch lernen sollte..."

(Why you should learn English...)

"Yes, we can!"

"Yes, we can" was the motto of Obama's campaign.

The U.S. has elected its first African-American president, 232 years after the country's Declaration of Independence and 40 years after Martin Luther King's famous speech
"I have a dream".

Barack Obama has been sworn in as the 44th U.S. president on 20 of January in 2009.

Listen to his inauguration song. Barack Obama declared "change has come to America".

Die meisten Lieder werden in Englisch gesungen.
Most of the songs are sung in English.

Aber verstehen Sie immer, worüber man singt?
However, do you always understand what they sing about?

Es lohnt sich, Englisch zu lernen.
It's worth learning English.

Besser spät als nie.
Better late than never.

What do they sing about?Worüber singen sie?

  • Take anything you want.
  • Hand me your bag!
  • Spare me my life!
  • What's the matter?
  • Calm down and speak slowly.
  • I was robbed by two men.
  • Nimm alles, was du willst.
  • Gib deine Tasche her!
  • Verschone mein Leben!
  • Was ist los?
  • Bleib ruhig und sprich langsam.
  • 2 Männer haben mich beraubt.
What is beauty.

"Beauty is but skin-deep". Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

"Nach dem Äußeren kann man nicht gehen". Schön ist was gefällt.

Although beauty may be in the eye of the beholder, the feeling of being beautiful exists solely in the mind of the beholder.

Obwohl Schönheit vielleicht im Auge des Betrachters liegt, existiert das Gefühl - schön zu sein - einzig und allein in der Vorstellung des Betrachters.

Don't Worry, Be Happy

In 1988, Bobby McFerrin's hit song, "Don't Worry, Be Happy" was included in the soundtrack of the movie "Cocktail".

The song's title is taken from a famous quote by Meher Baba. The original music video stars were Robin Williams and Bill Irwin. The "instrumentals" in the song are entirely composed of sounds made by McFerrin and combined in production. There are no instruments used in the song.

Use the lines of lyric below-mentioned, play the youtube video and perform the song yourself...

Here is a little song I wrote
You might want to sing it note for note
Don't worry, be happy
In every life we have some trouble
When you worry you make it double
Don't worry, be happy...
Ain't got no place to lay your head
Somebody came and took your bed
Don't worry, be happy
The landlord says your rent is late
He may have to litigate
Don't worry, be happy
Look at me I am happy
Don't worry, be happy.

Here I give you my phone number
When you worry call me
I make you happy
Don't worry, be happy.
Ain't got no cash, ain't got no style
Ain't got no girl to make you smile
But don't worry be happy
When you worry
Your face will frown
And that will bring everybody down
So don't worry, be happy (now)...
There is this little song I wrote
I hope you learn it note for note
like good children

Don't worry, be happy.
Listen to what I say
In your life expect some trouble
But when you worry you make it double
Don't worry, be happy...
Don't worry, be happy
Don't worry, don't do it, be happy
Put a smile on your face
Don't bring everybody down like this
Don't worry, it will soon past whatever it is
Don't worry, be happy.

THIS OLD MAN

This old man, he played one
He played knick-knack on my thumb
With a knick-knack paddywhack,
give a dog a bone
This old man came rolling home.

This old man, he played two
He played knick-knack on my shoe
With a knick-knack paddywhack,
give a dog a bone
This old man came rolling home.

The Beatles - Let it be

Der Titel wurde von den Beatles während der Aufnahmen für den Film Let It Be am 31. Januar 1969 aufgenommen.

Let It Be

When I find myself in times of trouble
Mother Mary comes to me,
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be.
And in my hour of darkness
She is standing right in front of me,
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be.

And when the broken-hearted people
Living in the world agree,
There will be an answer, let it be.
For though they may be parted
There is still a chance that they will see,
There will be an answer, let it be.

And when the night is cloudy
There is still a light that shines on me,
Shine until tomorrow, let it be.
I wake up to the sound of music
Mother Mary comes to me,
there will be no sorrow, let it be.

Let it be, let it be,
Let it be, let it be,
There will be no sorrow, let it be.
Let it be, let it be,
Let it be, let it be,
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be.
